Round the World in 40 Climbs: Episode 7: Bariloche and Pte Varas

Bariloche was developed as the adventure playground of the Argentine Elite, today it still lives up to that. With great climbing, walking and if you are there in winter skiing.

Bariloche is a stones throw from Frey one of the finest granite trad climbing areas in the world as well as a few hours drive away from Piedra Parada, where a Petzl Rock Trip visited in 2012.

Trad and Sport Climbing in Frey, Bariloche and Peidra Parada

We run some great adventure climbing courses to Bariloche, Frey and Peidra Parada. These are all amazing climbing areas within easy reach of each other. The shortest time we can offer is a two week trip although we recommend a much longer stay out there. You can find out more about Frey with this longer article on Patagonia Forgotten Playground.

If the weather is good enough the Yosemite of South America – Cochamo is only a days bus ride away as well.

We charge £2500 for the two week course and will extend it at a discounted rate or offer deals if there is more than one person booking.
